Teddy Bear Picnic Games

Playing teddy bear picnic games can add a lot of fun to your day.

Teddy Bear Picnic Blanket Toss:

Put a bear into the centre of a picnic blanket and toss him into the air. Whee! Catch him in the blanket again. Repeat until the bear complains of a tummy ache!

Teddy Bear Hide and Seek:

Mom or Dad hide all the teddy bears. (If you are in the woods, set some boundaries so they don't wander off too far.) Let the kids seek out their stuffed friends. This can be fun at night too - hide the bears in the open and give each child a flashlight.

Teddy Bear Skipping Game:

A fun and challenging skipping game for both Teddy and child:

"Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, turn around" - child holding Teddy turns around while skipping.
"Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, touch the ground" - child reaches down and makes Teddy touch the ground while skipping.
"Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, show your shoe" - child must hop on one foot (and could make Teddy bear lift one foot).
"Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, that will do!"
"Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, go upstairs" - child and bear pretend to climb the stairs while skipping.
"Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, say your prayers" - child makes Teddy "pray" with his hands together.
"Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, turn out the light" - pretend to turn off the light switch while skipping.
"Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, say goodnight!" - jump out of the rope area.

Choose one person to go and hide, this is the big bear. The little bears go a fair distance away from big bear's "den". When the game begins all the little bears run close to his "den" and call: "Big Bear! Big Bear come out and play!" and then run back to their spot. This can continue a few times, back and forth. "Big Bear" can come out whenever it wants and tag someone. The person tagged becomes the next Big Bear.
