Picnic Checklist

Ever feel like you've forgotten something? This picnic checklist should help!

No matter what is on your picnic menu, this picnic checklist will help you prepare. If you are a regular picnicker, try keeping these items on hand in a "picnic kit" or in your picnic basket, replenishing items as needed.

  • Picnic blanket with a waterproof backing (or a large tablecloth)

  • Utensils - forks, spoons, knives (as well as serving spoons, bread knife, serrated meat knife)
Reusable, washable utensils are highly recommended - less waste!

  • Can opener, bottle opener, corkscrew

  • Small cutting board

  • Dishes - Reusable, washable is best for our environment. If you prefer paper plates, look for recycled paper.

  • Napkins (cloth or recycled paper), moist towellettes, hand sanitizer

  • Grill/barbeque utensils

  • Propane / charcoal briquettes, lighter fluid or safety matches

  • Trash bags

  • Reseable bags or containers for leftover food

  • Condiments (ketchup, mustard, relish, BBQ sauce)

  • Drinking water

  • Two well-insulated picnic coolers - with ice!
(One cooler for beverages & condiments and one cooler for perishable foods.)
