Italian Herb Bread

This italian herb bread is delicious served with soup, salads (try it with our greek salad, and sandwiches (antipasto sandwiches, or italian subs.

Small Loaf
1.5 lb.
Large Loaf
2 lb.
water 1 1/4 cups 1 1/2 cups
skim milk powder 1/4 cup 1/4 cup
salt 1 tsp. 1 1/2 tsp.
sugar 1 tbsp. 2 tbsp.
olive oil 1 tbsp. 2 tbsp.
all-purpose flour
(or bread flour)
3 1/3 cups 4 cups
fresh parsley 1/4 cup 1/3 cup
dried basil 1 tsp. 1 1/4 tsp.
dried marjoram 1 tsp. 1 1/4 tsp.
dried thyme 1 tsp. 1 1/4 tsp.
bread machine yeast 1 tsp. 1 1/4 tsp.

Measure ingredients into your baking pan as recommended by your bread machine's manufacturer.


Tip:Any leftover bread from this loaf makes excellent croutons for salads. Cut into small cubes, mix with a bit of melted butter and toast (in a fry pan or in your oven) until lightly browned.
